See how I helped a nonprofit increase donations, streamline operations, and better serve their community.
Non-profit Organization
“WOW! I can’t say enough good things about the new website. Not only is it aesthetically pleasing, it also has so much useful (and thoughtful) information. One of the best websites I have seen in a good while. I even learned some thing I didn’t know about the organization and it was so easy to navigate.
Prairie Home Hospice is the gold standard and that definitely shows through. Send you a virtual high five! NICE JOB!”— Marcy H., Board Member
Prairie Home Hospice and Community Care
When Prairie Home Hospice approached me, their existing website—maintained by a third-party agency—was outdated, expensive to update, and lacked user-friendly functionality. A full audit revealed several issues, including incorrect phone numbers and addresses, a frustrating donation experience, and limited engagement tools for users.
The goal was to build a modern, centralized platform that clearly communicates the organization’s services while making it easier for the community to engage, support, and get involved. I redesigned the website from the ground up with a clean, intuitive layout that’s mobile-friendly and easy to navigate.
Key improvements included:
- Streamlined Donation Experience: Visitors can now donate easily and securely, helping the nonprofit increase financial support.
- Dearly Departed Page: A custom-built memorial page honoring recently deceased patients provides a meaningful way to remember loved ones.
- Online Job Application: A user-friendly job application form has significantly increased applicant volume and simplified the hiring process.
- Volunteer Sign-Up Form: Volunteers can now easily offer their time and services through an intuitive online form—removing barriers to getting involved.
- Event Engagement: Upcoming events are now featured with the ability to RSVP or purchase tickets directly through the website.
- Resource Hub: The site now offers helpful articles and downloadable resources for patients, families, and caregivers.
The launch of the new site resulted in overwhelmingly positive feedback from both the client and community. More importantly, it empowered Prairie Home Hospice to better fulfill its mission through improved engagement, increased donations, and stronger community support.
